Weaving workshops with the Coddiwomplers

Picture
Join the Coddiwomplers for a hands-on willow weaving workshop. Guided by two experienced basket makers, you’ll learn traditional willow weaving skills and techniques while creating a beautiful and practical piece for your home.
Choose from the 10am workshop where you will have the opportunity to create mini baskets using traditional basket weaves
or the 1pm workshop making a shallow, asymmetric basket inspired by the shape of a willow leaf.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with a range of willow varieties, allowing you to explore the different natural colours and properties of willow and to create a basket that is truly your own.
This course is ideal for beginners, so no prior experience is required. However, some manual dexterity and hand strength is needed for weaving.
