Salhouse Broad MooringsSalhouse Broad Moorings

Salhouse Broad has mooring space for up to 65 boats. There are 25 side-on river moorings (Salhouse Spit and Island) which are good for a bit of peace and quiet and fishing (in season), however, there is no access from the Spit or Island to the mainland. Forty stern on moorings are available inside the Broad from which there is access to drinking water (included in the mooring fee), recycling and general waste facilities, local pubs (The Salhouse Bell and The Fur and Feather) and Salhouse post office/ shop.

In order to maintain the natural beauty of Salhouse Broad, we collect mooring fees for its upkeep and conservation. Please note: mooring fees are collected by personnel with an I.D. Badge.

Set back from the main village, Salhouse is only a ten minute walk from the edge of the Broad. For those needing to dispose of rubbish, please use our recycling bins (Paper/card, cans and bottles) and general waste for anything leftover. Any money raised through the council for the use of the recycling facilities in Salhouse Broad car park goes towards helping the local Youth Club. The bins and toilets are located in the car park. From the car park turn left for the Fur and Feather pub or to find The Bell Inn, turn right then left at the fork. On your way to The Bell you will pass the Salhouse Post Office and Stores.
