Discover the real Broadland wilderness at one of Britain's finest National Nature Reserves. Hoveton Great Broad Nature Trail is only accessible by boat and promises a peaceful hour long stroll around this isolated reserve. There are two secluded bird hides which overlook the great expanse of water with a tern platform and a quieter spot, good for viewing the more reclusive birds. Expect to see marsh harriers, cormorants, reed warblers and many other delights that are on offer. This unique trail can be enjoyed by all the family.

Ferry Service Times:

Sunday and Thursday: every hour on the hour from 10am - 4pm. 20 minute return boat trip. Trail length approx. 1km.

Life jackets provided.

Dogs are not allowed at Hoveton Great Broad Nature Trail.

The trail is open from Easter until mid-September.

The Ferry departs from Salhouse Broad moorings. Park for free in the Salhouse Broad car park (NR13 6RX) and follow the path to the Broad. At the bottom of the path, turn left and look for the Salhouse Ferry sign at the moorings near the sandy beach area.
