What is there to do at the broad?
Here are a few suggestions…
Take a stroll around...
The circular walk takes you along the edge of the broad to the play area, up through the wood, along the top of the hill, through a blackthorn thicket and back to the main path. Allow an hour to take in the natural delights of the broad. Watch out for the ‘Watch out for’ nature signs, informative for all ages, specific to the wildlife in this area.

Canoeing
Last year Salhouse Broad joined up with the Canoe Hire Association in order to offer you the opportunity to experience the relaxing and enjoyable past time of canoeing. Booking is advisable.
The Canoe Hire Charges are:
Up to 1hour: £10
Up to 3hours: £20
Up to 6hours: £30
Please note that the 1hour charge restricts exploring to within the boundaries of the Broad. Paddles, buoyancy aids, dry bags, a safety talk and start up tuition are all provided.

Water Taxi
From Salhouse Broad we offer a Water Taxi service across to HovetonGreat Broad Nature Trail. The trail is only accessible by boat and promises a peaceful hour stroll around the edge of Hoveton Great Broad. With two secluded bird hides on offer overlooking the great expanse of water, a tern platform and a quieter spot good for viewing the shier water birds, this a unique nature trail to be enjoyed by all the family.
